The JR Zone is the third significant uranium discovery made by the F3 team in the Athabasca Basin. The Company’s management, headed up by Dev Randhawa as CEO & Chairman, Raymond Ashley as President, and Sam Hartmann as VP Exploration founded Fission Uranium in 2012 and made the Triple R discovery at Patterson Lake which was acquired by Paladin Energy in a merger inked in June 2024 for an implied total equity value of C$1.14 billion. Prior to that, the same team founded Fission Energy in 2008, making the J-Zone discovery at Waterbury Lake in 2010 in the eastern Athabasca Basin, and built Fission Energy into a TSX Venture 50 Company. In April 2013 Fission Energy sold the majority of its assets to Dension Mines, and certain assets were spun out into Fission Uranium. In October 2013, F3 Uranium was incorporated as Fission 3.0, initially a wholly owned subsidiary of Fission Uranium, and later in November, F3 Uranium completed a plan of arrangement resulting in certain properties and assets of Fission Uranium, including the Patterson Lake North (“PLN”) property, to become assets of F3 Uranium. Most recently, the team behind these three discoveries has launched it fourth endeavor, F4 Uranium Corp.
