ATHABASCA BASIN

PLN Area

Why the area is important

Emergence of a Uranium District

The Patterson Lake area, located in the southwest Athabasca region, has become notable for its large, high-grade uranium deposits such as Triple R, Arrow, Shea Creek, and Cluff Lake. The discovery of the Triple R deposit in 2012 ignited a staking rush and unprecedented exploration activity in the area, marking a resurgence not seen in the Western Athabasca Basin region in four decades. Early-stage mine development at the Triple R and Arrow deposits further highlights the promising future for the PLN Area as a significant uranium district.

High-Grade Uranium Discovery

In late 2022, the F3 technical team previously involved in the Triple R discovery at PLS made another significant find on the PLN property – the JR Zone. The discovery was marked by drill hole PLN22-035, which showed off-scale radioactivity (>65,535 CPS on a handheld spectrometer) and high-grade uranium mineralization (up to 60% U3O8), leading to further exploration that expanded the zone 105m along its strike. The JR Zone remains open for exploration in all directions and at depth.

Strategic Property Portfolio and Access

The same team responsible for these discoveries has strategically staked F3 Uranium’s current property portfolio, comprising seven area projects totaling 105,470 hectares, each offering the potential for high-grade uranium occurrences. The Patterson Lake area’s strategic advantage includes excellent highway access, positioning it as a significant development zone for future uranium production.
