11 Mineral claims
The Lazy Edward Bay Property holds 11 mineral claims, covering 1,827.9 hectares. It is situated approximately 12.5 km east of the Cable Bay Shear Zone, in the southeastern part of the Athabasca Basin, known for its shallow sandstone cover. This geographic positioning places the property in a region of interest for uranium exploration.
historic drill holes
The property’s western section encompasses a significant part of the Ponderosa conductive trend, noted for historic drill holes LE-072 and LE-073. These drills revealed uranium concentrations of 170 ppm and 40 ppm, respectively, in brecciated and sheared gneiss, and within sandstone fault gouge, the latter also yielding 550 ppm boron, indicating the presence of mineralization.
uranium potential
On the eastern side, the claims extend over the Liberty conductive trend, highlighted by the nearby historic drill hole LE-001, which encountered a noteworthy 224 ppm U3O8 over a 0.5-metre interval. This further underscores the property’s potential for significant uranium discoveries within its geological trends.
